Muyiwa Ige

The Osun State House of Assembly, has ordered police to arrest Muyiwa Ige, the son of the one-time governor of Oyo state, Bola Ige, for failing to appear before them over an ongoing probe.

Timothy Owoeye, who is Majority Leader of the assembly, signed the warrant for Ige’s arrest. Ige, who was the former Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development, is being sought to answer questions in the dispute over a land, located on Ilobu Road in Osogbo, the capital of Osun.

However, Ige denied he spurned the invitation to appear before the legislature.

“Nobody invited me. I don’t even know what it is about. How far is Lagos from Osogbo? I was in Osogbo till 7.00pm yesterday (Tuesday),” he reportedly said.
