The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has appointed two coaches, Musa Cyril and Tony Ajaelu to take charge of the National female team for an Invitational Tournament in Tanzania.
A statement released by the NCF on Saturday said the appointment was a step in the right direction for the country’s participation in the tournament holding from Aug. 18 to Aug. 24.
It said that Cyril would be in charge of the team and would be assisted by Ajaelu.
The statement added that the coaches possessed the qualities needed to handle the team, because of their profile and contribution to the sport.
It said the coaches had served in various capacities which necessitated their being appointed for the task ahead.
In a related development, the body said it has selected 15 players for the tournament after two weeks camping held to prepare the team for the event.
According to NCF the team will depart the country on Aug.16.
