Girl kidnapped in Lagos church

Little Tope who was stolen on Wednesday inside church in between her parents and elders of the chur_editedThe police at Ejigbo division have started manhunt for robbers who invaded a church early Wednesday and kidnapped a 4-year old girl. They also stole  phones and numerous items belonging to church members.
The girl , Miss Tope Ogundeyi was kidnapped at the Cherubim and Saraphin C/S located Ilufunmi street, Ejigbo, Lagos where she followed her parents for family prayer deliverance.
According to the  father, Olumide, he came to the church for family deliverance and they slept inside the church auditorium as directed by the prophet. What surprised many residents was how the robbers gained entrance into the church’s compound without been noticed by the residents and the members that slept there.
Olumide said the doors and windows of the church auditorium was locked after their midnight prayer before they slept.
He said when he woke up in the morning around 5.00 am, he did not see Tope where she was lying with two other of his children and did not see his three hand sets where he kept it.
He said he raised alarm which attracted other church members around and they started looking for her but did not find her.
He said that the matter has been reported the Ejigbo police division and the Oba of Ejigbo, Oba Moruf Ajoola.
The trouble Olumide lamented that the disappearance of Tope has worsen their predicament in the family.
He revealed that they reside at Ogun State from where they came to the church for prayer.
“I don’t know what to do now except believing in God that Tope will still be found” he lamented.
When our reporter visited Imakiyo and Ejigbo police division where the matter was reported, the police confirmed the development.
However, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter. Police source said they have since commenced investigation to arrest the suspects.
When our reporter visited the church, the members who were in a mournful mood confirmed the incident.
Attempt to speak with the owner of the church, prophet Michael Balogun failed as our reporter was told that he was not around to speak on the matter.
